Consular Team holds 2nd consular outreach mission in Riyadh Industrial City

(Riyadh, 9 April 2013) The Philippine Embassy recently held an Embassy on Wheels outreach mission in Riyadh Industrial City to meet the high demand of request for the renewal of passports in that area. The outreach was held at the DAAWA Islamic Center in Riyadh Industrial City on 4 April 2013. It was the second time that the Embassy held a mission there. A total of 245 applicants were able to avail of the passport services extended during the mission.

This mission is part of the Embassy on Wheels calendar, as we feel that it offers an opportunity for our kababayan who are busy with their work to avail of passport services. I am also very pleased that the DAAWA Islamic Center continues to be a keen partner for our missions in the Riyadh Industrial City. I would like to thank Adviser to the Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Mohammad Al Kholaqi, and General Manager Mr. Nasser Al Baqmi, as well as coordinators Mr. Othman Lunasco and Mr. Yacob Burce, and not the least the other Filipino volunteers who helped assist the Filipino community, Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ezzedin H. Tago remarked. The next consular mission for passport renewals at the DAAWA Islamic Center, 2nd Industrial City (Exit 18), will be on 4 July 2013, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. 250 male applicants will be accommodated on a first come first serve basis.
