River: A river is natural body of water flowing towards a lake,
ocean, or another river.

Lake: A lake is a large body of water surrounded by land.

Ocean: An ocean is a body of salt water that covers about 70%


of earths surface.

Pond: A pond is a small body of still water.

Bodies of Water Story:

There are many bodies of water like rivers, lakes, ponds and oceans.
Rivers are long water ways that can go on and on. Some rivers
are so thin you can jump over them. Some rivers are deep and some
are not so deep. You might fish or swim in a stream.
Ponds are small bodies of still water. Ponds do not have moving
water like rivers do but rather are a small area of water that is standing
still. Ponds contain plants and animals.
Lakes are bigger bodies of water. But, lakes do have land all
around them. You can find fish and plants in a lake as well as many
different types of animals surrounding the lake. You can fish or swim or
take a boat out on the water.
Oceans are the biggest bodies of water. Oceans are made of salt
and water. The water is salty. Oceans are so big that there are many
fish that swim, many boats, many fishermen, and many swimmers.
There are sharks, whales, dolphins, fish, and many other types of
animals that are found in the ocean.
