DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY Child actor kicks actor in dog costume and they get hurt/badly hurt

HAZARD IDENTIFICATION Child actors shoe, actor in dog costumes leg, flimsy dog costume material. PERSONS AT RISK (who might be harmed and how? are there any groups especially at risk?) The actors leg in the dog costume may be harmed when the child actor kicks them. EXISTING PRECAUTIONS (what controls are currently in place?) Actors will be briefed on safety of the situation. Actor in dog costume will wear a shin pad protection on their leg. First aid bag/equipment at hand. We will make sure the child is aware of the repercussions of kicking too hard.

ANALYSIS OF EXISTING PRECAUTIONS (are the precautions effective; if not, why not?) Actors will be briefed on the precautions that need to be taken for the actors to not get hurt. We will double check if they understand and if they need to ask any questions or queries. The first aid equipment will be there for the unfortunate instance that the actor in the dog costume does get hurt and so therefore we will be able to treat the injury in the necessary way.
