Textual Analysis Poster (1)

This poster is that of the hip hop electronica duo Chiddy Bang for their album Breakfast. It is without a doubt bright and filled with vivid colours that are instantly eye catching. A poster like this can be seen to be on billboards and buses, somewhere where the length of it horizontally will fit and be able to display all that needs to be. With the groups name being centred in the middle of the poster, written in white writing, capital letters and placed on a black background where only the writing is written, the writing is able to stand out for the fact the surrounding lacks in the colour black or that of any dark colours. With Breakfast, the name of the album, being written in multicoloured writing, this allows it to be eye catching enough even though the colours of the pictures surrounding are also bright. Once again the black background to the writing is able to allow it to stand out than if it were to be written on the colourful pictures surrounding it. The pictures seen in the background all symbolise the title of the able, being a huge selection of breakfast boxes. Each one of these lack in dark or bleak colours and are all just as vivid and bright from the other. With the only writing on the poster being that of duos name, album title and the fact it states it is Out Now! allows all the attention to focus on that and can then be seen as possibly the most important points that need to be known. With it being In stores now! this information can be thought to be the only one the artists intend for their target audience to know. With all the writing in capital letters and the use of an exclamation mark, the writing is then attention grabbing enough to stand out among the colourful cereal boxes. With the images of the cereal, we are able to tell that not all of them are able to be seen, with some of them being cut

off on the frame of the image allowing the audience to witness that the colour and images continue further.
