Childish gambino - because

the internet
Morgan vant Hoff
The front cover
This is a controversial album cover, it doesn't
have his name on it nor the album name. This
could be him sending a message to his audience
that because the internet we live in an online
society people will already know who he is just
by his face.

The colours on this album cover are counter

typical of that of a male hip-hop artist as these
colours are stereotypically feminine colours. To
extend the majority of hip hop albums try to
symbolise wealth, and toughness, this album
clearly relates more to other genres of music
such as jazz. The colours are soft and warm which
creates a calm and settling feel. Furthermore his
relaxed posture and dead expression connote a
lack of direction. This could be a symbolization
of paradise as the palm trees represent paradise
in a relaxing environment.
The other cover
This is a holographic image which could suggest
psychedelic drugs, and this could suggest the
relationship wirth paradise.

The first image resembles that of an impressionist

painting. The dark eyes and mouth connote a
soleless face. The way it looks like a painting
could suggest ge is against modern ways of imagery
and prefers the more laid back style.
all of the covers
As you can see the interesting colours
on the colors and patterns in the
background further suggest psychedelic
drugs.

Also the discs are vinyls, which give

the impression he prefers the past
before the internet, when
vinyls/records were popular. It could
also show that he understands that
records generally give a better sound
quality,m one which is more 3D rather
than flat.
What i like about this
digipak is that it is very
simple. It creates a very
calm mood which could be
seen as controversial. This
means that it is effective
as a product as it allows
stands out above others.
