Construction Project Estimator ES&H, Inc. is looking for a Construction Project Estimator for our special projects team. The ideal candidate will have experience with bidding civil utilities, site prep, erosion control, abatement services, environmental remediation, as well as Government and commercial construction projects.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Minimum 5 years Estimating experience Minimum 10 years construction experience Strong conceptual estimating skills Ability to lead team in hard bid pursuits Ability to interact with owner and architects Ability to proficiently use project lead sites

The ideal candidate will possess:

Engineering, Construction Management of Architectural degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to lead a lump sum bid pursuit Experience in Industry standard estimating software,( i.e. HCSS-Heavybid, RSMeans) Experience with establishing budgets and working closely with project managers Knowledge of all trades and local subcontractor community Comfortable meeting with clients and owners Time management skills, multi-tasking Ability to work in a team environment as well as supervise others Willingness to do all that is required to complete a job on time Exceptional organizational skills MS Office proficient and comfortable with complex spreadsheets and/or database programs

Specific job responsibilities will include:

Review project plans, requirements and specifications Prepare accurate quantity and materials take-offs and pricing from both digital files and plans Coordinate subcontract solicitations and job walks as appropriate Determine labor, material and construction equipment costs Compare competitive trade bids Review preliminary quotes and pre-bid estimates Secure all bid documents (bid forms and quote letters) Prepare subcontractor bid list and submit plans/specs to subcontractors Participate in bid compilation on bid day Assist jobsite staff with estimates after bid award Meet and maintain proposal and bid schedules
