Nonverbal communication
A process of communicating through sending and receiving wordless messages.
Nonverbal characteristics are vary due to the influence from speakers culture. Can be done through gesture, eye contact, facial expressions, and symbols.

Comparison of nonverbal communication between Japanese and Indian

Eye Contact

JAPANESE
Avoiding eye contact in most situation. Prolonged eye contact was considered as invasion of privacy

INDIAN Eye contact is necessary to get full understanding of the message.

Dressing code

JAPANESE
They often wear the same type, range, or color of clothes with their community/society The same type or color of clothes shows their hierarchy and tendency to be a part within their society

INDIAN
They often use colorful and various type of clothes It is show their identity and their sub-race.

Hand gesture

JAPANESE
Japanese They tend to keep their hands closer to their frame as they believe that it is aggressive, rude, and impolite if they extend their hand outward.

INDIAN
The Indian often use their hand in many of their nonverbal message in many kind of situations.
