Acknowledgement for Summer Camp Program

The Summer Camp Program is intended to prepare the players for the upcoming 2013-2014 hockey season. We have developed the program as a combination of on ice skills practice sessions and an off ice dry-land fitness program. The program involves hockey, fitness, weight training and class room type sessions. Set forth below are the expectations of the FZWHC for all players participating in the summer program. 1. The summer program is intended to assist the players to become better hockey players through better fitness. The program was developed with a goal of hockey fitness and strength. All decisions about activities during the summer program are made by the coaching staff. 2. The summer program requires cooperation and participation. The players are expected to participate in the program. The players are expected to put forth the effort to benefit from the summer program during the ice and dry-land sessions. 3. There is an expectation that the participants will follow a weight training program to improve strength. There will be a chart of exercises provided to each participant and he will be expected to document his progress in the weight training regimen and provide that documentation to the coaching staff throughout the summer. The FZWHC has provided an opportunity for membership at Club Fitness. If the participant in the program decides to do the weight training portion of the program at another location there is an expectation that they will follow the training regimen provided to the player. 4. The player must be a member of USA Hockey in order to participate in the program. 5. The players will be expected to conduct themselves with respect to all those involved in the program. The players are expected to be respectful to their teammates, coaches and staff at Club Fitness during the summer program. 6. The fee for the summer program shall be determined by the Board. All payments of the required fee are non-refundable and are to be paid in full at registration.

7. Complaints: FZWHC has implemented a 24 hour rule policy regarding complaints or issues of concern during the summer program. If a player or family member has an issue of concern or complaint there must be a 24 hour wait period prior to issuing the complaint to the coach or board. The FZWHC promotes that players attempt to resolve their concerns or problems with the coaches. If a player has a concern regarding an issue during summer camp we encourage the player to discuss the concern with the coach.
