With new prenatal screening technologies it is now possible to identify aneuploidies from cell free DNA in maternal blood as early as 9 weeks with near 100% accuracy. This means that with a simple test of a mothers blood sample, Down syndrome and other genetic conditions can be identified earlier and with greater accuracy than ever before.
