I wish we did more in each class. Sometimes there was time left over, and it could have been used to learn more. I might be alone in this sentiment though. Most of the other students seemed to like this. Nothing none not sure Not a lot of direction on research paper. More in class time to discuss would have been better some organization

Would recommend you for peers that she did a fantastic job with this class. I really appreciate her concern for working with our specific schedules and needs...she has been the most caring teacher I've had so far. I appreciate how much you were willing to work with our schedules! This class was great in exploring a world I was not focused on when thinking about teaching but assignments were helpful to explore more than just math

Reading from the text. The texts she chose were excellent, very practical. They are definitely books that I will keep and refer to often. Reading Clinic because it was rewarding and also gave us experience with students of different race, ethnic background, reading ability, etc. The balanced literacy paper because we were able to get some more research done and learn more teaching strategies to incorporate the components of balanced literacy reading clinic, great motivation See literacy night The reading clinic. I don't have one. Even the week we had an online class was great. It gave us time to work on our papers, and the online discussions were great. All the students really made good comments that were interesting to read. The night we had reading clinic training. It seemed like that was done with the assumption that everyone was going to participate in reading clinic tutoring, but it was very overwhelming because we hadn't heard that we were going to do it until one or two days before, plus I had to think about how I would fit this tutoring into my work/school/everyday life schedule. At that time I know that I felt very overwhelmed, so I think that in the future if this was brought up in the beginning and we knew it was coming, we would have been better able to handle it. not sure None Although I use the Reading Clinic session a lot when working in the clinic every week, a whole class period to have the lady talk was a lot.

I felt like I wasn't really prepared to write the balanced literacy paper. It was really a struggle because I don't think that I had a good understanding of each component. Although I had a good understanding of how they worked as a whole, the paper was really structured to talk about each one individually. ...Or maybe I missed the point of the paper entirely. Nothing. not sure More info on research paper

I felt like she really understood her students and made accommodations that maximized learning while still understanding that most of us are busy professionals.
