Bangalore university MBA Final Project Report of IV semester The final project report is a dissertation on a business or a management problem.

The Student may work on an organization centric problem or on a general theme. In case of an organization centric problem the company certificate is a must . The dissertation or the final project is expected to provide practical solutions to the problem studied. The following are the suggested steps: a) Problem Identification (Desk research and observational techniques) b) Synopsis preparation (Generally not exceeding two pages) c) The headlines of a synopsis could be: i. The background ii. The problem statement iii. Objective of the Study iv. Hypotheses to be tested V. Method vi. Limitation(s) vii. Chapter Scheme viii. Expectation from the study

1. IV Sem: Starting point is problem identification with an organization/industry 2. Synopsis: Formatting (Research Proposal) -Title -Problem -Methodology -Time &cost Expectation (to be approved by the company)

Note: The approval is from the company if the topic is company specific. Otherwise the concerned guide has to approve the same. 3. Formatting dissertation: Executive summary (Before introduction) 4. Primary Research may not be always needed. 5. Hypothesis testing experimental research (for establishing relationships) 6. For survey/description Research-Hypothesis test not required 7. Report: Size-100 pages (Indicative) Hard Bound (Light Blue Colour) Font Size = 12/14 1.5 line spacing A4 Size Exe. bond paper Font style Time/Arial Foot notes- End of each chapter References at the end of each chapter Bibliography 1. The list of Text Books referred Title, Author, Publisher, Year of publication and edition and page nos if possible 2. The list of Journals / magazines etc referred Name of the journal/magazine, Publishing house, year/month of issue and article referred with the author of the article. 3. The list of the web sites (Not Search Engines) browsed 4. The names of the internal / private circulation material of any organization etc with details of it 5. The newspapers referred with title, edition and date of issue and the article.
