Pre- Internship Field Experience:

Fall 2008-Present Kinawa Middle School, Okemos, MI

Placement is four hours a week in an 8th grade English classroom. I actively
observe the teacher, participate in class discussions, lesson planning, and leading
whole lessons (solo and collaborative).

Spring 2008 Gardner Middle School, Lansing, MI

Placement was two hours a week in an 8th grade English classroom. I analyzed
classroom dynamics, management, and ways to account for diverse learners. I
assisted non-native English speakers in vocabulary, grammar, reading, and
comprehension.

Fall 2007 MacDonald Middle School, East Lansing, MI

Placement included two hours a week actively observing and tutoring in a
classroom for students who were having difficulties in most subject areas and
needed a little extra help. During the semester I participated in solo-teaching 8th
grade geography and math, I led small group reading and discussions, and
provided help to individual students who were having difficulties in all subject
areas.
