    Procedural 5 Point 1. African Americans lack access to information to be successful

    Blacks historically lag

    behind in achievement. Of those 25 and older, 18% have a bachelors degree. African Americans should be made more aware of college opportunities.
    Point 2. African Americans struggle to advance in this country. 40% of the prison population is

    African American. There isnt enough diversity in politics and higher up the global economy.
    Point 3. There arent enough black professionals to be role models among the youth. 4.3% of

    African Americans hold advanced degrees. There is an emphasis on being very good in sports to have a sustainable future. Less than 2% of college football/basketball athletes actually go pro. Not enough young African Americans dont understand the importance of pursuing college and higher education.
