Snickerdoodles

Yield: 4 dozen cookies

Ingredients
1 cups sugar cup butter cup shortening 2 eggs 2 cups flour 2 tsp cream of tartar 1 tsp baking soda tsp salt cup sugar 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Preparation Steps
1. heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit 2. In a large bowl, beat 1 cups sugar, the butter, shortening and eggs with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. 3. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. 4. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. 5. In small bowl mix cup sugar and the cinnamon. 6. Roll the balls in the cinnamon sugar mixture. 7. On ungreased cookie sheet, place balls 2 inches apart. 8. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. 9. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
