Campus Party 2012 Berlin rule set League of Legends

1. General The following Rules apply for the League of Legends Campus Party 2012 Berlin tournaments. In exceptional cases the Administrators are authorized to make decisions which are not according to the following Rules. These exceptions are needed to abide the sportsmanship and to guarantee fair play for all participants. Each Participant is urged to use the latest version of the Game, if not announced otherwise in the Rules. The latest version always can be found at the official homepage. 1.1 Accounts 1.1.1 Player Accounts In order to participate the Campus Party League of Legends tournament, the following criterias have to be met:

registered Gameaccount i.e.: "Summoner Name" (Only Summoner, from the European West Server are eligible to play)

A player is only allowed to participate in one team. The nationality does not matter, but the participants must have an (EU West) League of Legends account. 1.2 Exchange of a player The participant is only eligible to play when he joins the team before a match. But it is possible to make an agreement with the opponent team. It's forbidden to change a player after the start share of the bans and picks. It's also forbidden that a player join a team after Start of the Tournament and play Games. It is allowed for teams to change a player during the tournament but not during the match being played. 1.3 Non-appearance of the Opponent 1.3.1 in case of manual Challenges and in Tournaments If an opponent does not appear to a fixed date and time it has to be reported after a waiting time of 15 minutes. To report, contact the nearest admin and he will make a decision whether to wait longer or give a free win. The match can be reported if one the opponents are not ready after 15 minutes. 1.4 Results Both teams are responsible for ensuring that the correct result is entered. In Cases of disagreements regarding the result, both parties have to keep screenshots and contact an admin.

1.5 Number of Participants In the Campus Party League of Legends Tournaments, the following limitations are applied.

In a 5on5 five players compete against five* others.(* see Special)

* If a 5on5 team hasnt got enough Players, It may also compete in the minority. The full team is free to to miss out one player and even up its lineup. The match may be postponed, if both teams and the admin agree to that. 2 Screenshots In order to guarantee the correctness of the match, both teams are required to take a screenshot of the final Result, as well as special events (e.g. timeout, Champion-bans). Both teams are responsible to ensure complete presented Screenshots and replays in the match area. 3. Protests/Prohibited Acts All types of unfair Gameplay or impairing actions are forbidden. For this purpose the unfair advantage among obtaining (cheating) and also exploiting of map exceptions or defects (bugs). If bugs are not listed here, a Campus Party admin has to decide if the bug may have been crucial for the match, in that case a punishment will be given to the bug user and the match will be deleted, must be repeated or count as a win for the opposing team. If problems arise during a match, the affected players have to take proof or if needed pause the game. After (or if needed during) the match they have to contact an admin. This protest has to be submitted within 30 minutes after the match. After this period the protests are invalid. The opponent parties can give their opinion present proof to a Campus Party admin. The responsible admin will make a decision on the case. Map-related errors have to be checked before the match-start and the map has to be restarted if necessary. If load-related faults havent been checked before the match-start, a protest is invalid. 4. Match correction in case of cheat detection If a participant is convicted by cheating, the scoring of all matches which the player or his team has won, will be revised and counted as a loss. The Campus Party League of Legends tournaments reserve the right to delete even more matches. The Player will also get a unlimited tournament ban. 5. League of Legends 5.1 Game mode League of Legends is played in 5on5 mode with the latest published version of the game by Riot Games.

Matches will be graduated on the map Summoners Rift" A match is played in the Best of Three-mode. (Bo3 Win two out of three games) An admin will decide if the semi final will be a Bo3 or Bo5 Finals Bo5

Games are only allowed on the European West LoL servers. The winner is the team, which has bring the points of the opponent team down and destroyed the Nexus or the opponent team throws the towel (gives up). 5.4 Internet Relay Chat (IRC) During a tournament, a participant from each team is obliged to be in IRC. (#CPGaming) 5.5 Bans Each team is able to ban 3 champions. That means that neither the voting team nor the opposing team is allowed to play this champion in the match. 5.6 Picks The Champion selection is open. An already selected Champion can not be selected a second time. Diana will be available to play all new champions being released after Diana wont be allowed to play. 5.7 Host settings The following settings are required in every match:

5.8 Disconnect (Gamer drop) After the disconnect of a player the game will continue. He has to return as soon as possible back to the game and continue playing. The game can be paused in case of a disconnect. 5.9 Queue Each team is responsible to be prepared for the match at the defined time. An early login is even also important to avoid possible problems with the servers with a possible waiting queue. If a participant is stuck in the queue and cant arrive on time, the team may also compete in the minority. The full team is free to miss out one player and even up its lineup. The final decision whether to start will be made by an admin if both teams cant agree. 5.10 Server not available If the Riotserver should not be attainable, match may be postponed. 5.11 Stream / Livebroadcast The streaming will be done only by Campus Party. It is not allowed to stream own matches.
