Whats New in CAMWorksNesting Service Pack 0.1

Nesting with Multiple Tool Heads: This optional feature introduced in CAMWorksNesting allows users to nest two or more identical nesting layouts in a single sheet using multiple tool heads. The default settings for this feature is controlled from a new initialization file named Machine.ini. The interactive interface to edit the parameters associated with nesting with multiple tool heads is provided in the form of Multi Head Options tab in the Create Nesting Job dialog. Save Nested layout Output as DXF file: An optional feature provided in CAMWorksNesting now allows users to save the nested layouts in the internationally accepted CAD data file format known as Drawing Exchange Format (.dxf), in addition to the existing assembly file format (.sldasm). Compatibility with SolidWorks 2013/ CW Solids 2013: CAMWorksNesting 2013 is compatible with SolidWorks 2013 and CAMWorks Solids 2013 versions.

Installing and Running CAMWorksNesting 2013x64 SP 0.1

Before running CAMWorksNesting 2013x64, it is recommended that you make a backup of any part files created in previous versions of CAMWorksNesting. Backward Compatibility between previous versions and latest version of CAMWorksNesting is assured.

Supported Platforms

Solid Modeler: The 64 bit versions of following Solid modelers are supported: SolidWorks 2010, CAMWorks Solids 2010, SolidWorks 2011, CAMWorks Solids 2011, SolidWorks 2012, CAMWorks Solids 2012, SolidWorks 2013, CAMWorks Solids 2013. Operating System: Windows XP Professional SP2 or higher (64-bit version) Windows Vista Ultimate, Business, and Enterprise editions (64-bit version) Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate and Enterprise editions (64-bit version)
[Home editions are not supported] Please note that CAMWorksNesting 2013 will be the last version to support Windows XP OS.

Running the CAMWorksNesting 2013 Installer based on SolidWorks version

Separate CAMWorksNesting installers are available for 32-bit and 64-bit machines. The CAMWorksNesting is also SolidWorks version specific. SolidWorks 2013/2012/2011/2010: If your system is configured with the SolidWorks 2013, 2012, 2011 or 2010 version, run the 32-bit or 64-bit version of the CWN2013 SP0.1 installer.

Installing CAMWorksNesting 2013x64

When you install CAMWorksNesting 2013x64, the application and data files will be installed in two locations: The application files are installed in a user-defined folder (e.g.: \Program Files\CAMWorksNestingx64 2013). The data files are installed in a different user-defined folder (e.g.: C:\CAMWorksNestingData\CAMWorksNestingx64 2013. Data files include example and training parts, assemblies and initialization files.

License Support

To request a new license: 1. Download and install the CAMWorks license manager named CWFlexLicenseManager-20120123.exe from http://www.camworks.com/products/CAMWorksNestingEvaluation.aspx . 2. Run the license manager from Start>>All programs>>CAMWorks License Manager>>CWFlexLM License Manager. 3. Go to License Setup. Select the License method and send a license request by using the Request license button. 4. A 15 days evaluation license will be sent to you within 2 working days. After the license file is received, setup the license file path as follows: For node locked license, go to the License Setup tab in the License Manager and provide the license file path under Select node locked (Standalone) license file. For server license, use the Server Settings tab in the license manager. Provide the license file path and click Apply. For connecting to a license server, go to License Setup tab in the license manager and provide the Server Host name under Set Server Host name and Port number for floating license.

To update the existing license file: The authorized license date for CAMWorksNesting 2013x64 SP 0.1 is 20130102. Your current CAMWorksNesting license must be the same as or later than this date. If you need to update your license, contact us at inquiries@camworks.com.
