* Reading and Math homework will be given on Monday.

Class Parent and Swimming Volunteers

A big THANK YOU to Elizabeth Gilbert for being a risk-taker and taking on the role of Class Parent this Another big round of THANKS to the parents who also volunteered to chaperone our children during Swimming class every Monday! year.

We truly appreciate your generosity in sharing your time and presence with our Year 3 boys and girls.

Communication Tree
Please check that the names and numbers in the

attached Communication Tree are accurate. Please let me know ASAP if changes need to be made. I will send a final copy next week with the newsletter.

Tips to help with the homework presentation on Friday, August 30th:

* Bring an artifact or a prop with you to show. * Write notes as bullet points on an index card (like your exit ticket) instead of writing a script - you are going to be talking to the class - not reading! * Practice in front of your family or even just the mirror to gain condence. Remember to speak clearly and condently. * Try to include the listeners so that you keep them interested (perhaps ask some questions). * Use some wow words - Make the other children think Wow!. * Include interesting information, something that the other children will remember.

Chatsworth International School - East Campus Communication Tree

In the event of an emergency, this Communication Tree will be put into effect so that all parents are notied via SMS/Phone Call as soon as possible. It is imperative that each parent follow through with phoning the parents below them on the tree.
