Central idea: Beliefs and values can be expressed through Drama. We will be focusing on three aspects of performing for this unit: facial expressions body language vocal techniques Students have been using their facial expressions to communicate messages with their audience for the past 2 weeks. The children have shared that it is challenging to express ourselves with just our facial expressions because it is very natural to move our bodies and speak when talking or presenting to others. We are continuing to work on effectively showing the correct emotions during presentations by being thoughtful risk-takers on stage. We are also working on becoming better audience members. We can do this by being quiet, sitting properly, facing the performers and being reective thinkers.
