Tx vs Rx Chart Overview

Introduction
This chart is to confirm the in-building system has equal UL and DL path loss. It will show up any walk test that has an inconsistency in the UL. For a Passive system, this may be a faulty cable, passive component or antenna. In active systems this may be faulty Amplifiers, or passive components. For Macro systems with diversity it may show more DL path loss than UL if only the diversity is working correctly. In the next example, we demonstrate a perfect system. This system has good coverage and good UL Tx power.

Application
The following example shows a system that has equal UL and DL path loss, but is suffering from poor service. We can see the linear correlation with the handset Tx and Rx.

Conclusion
Using this chart in a walk testing report gives the reader a quick preview of any uplink issues without reading into separate charts or trying to decipher snail trail plots.

Entelecom Statement
In the next example, it is shown there is an UL problem. This is seen by the higher than expected handset Tx power. Entelecom is always trying to improve report readability to save our customers time in testing analysis. This is one such chart which can be added to a Nemo or TEMS report to help quickly find if the systems meets the network KPI.
