Closure: Completed Vocabulary List Wednesday: I do: Introduce Inference, Give Examples of making an inference, Discussion Rules We do: Sunrise Activity: Rate 4 statements on page 28, Discussion of 4 statements You do: Make inferences about main characters as we read Song of Trees as a class. Closure: Share inferences Thursday: I do: Attendance, Monitor Reading Plus Program We do: Work Respectfully You do: Take Insight Exam Closure: Push in Chairs, Computers Signed Off, No Trash Friday: I do: Review symbols We do: Review Robert Frosts The Runaway and discuss the image that he used as a symbol (horse alone trying to run away from the snow---our fear at facing unknown things) You do: In a group of 3, create a symbol for a chosen feeling, emotion or idea. You can only choose 3 colors to do so (remember colors can be symbols too)
