Im going to describe a situation. A company wants to motivate staff to work harder.

Talk together for about 2/3 minutes about some of the things the company could do to motivate them and then decide together which three things would be the best.

Describe the culture of the company where you work, or a company you are familiar with.

Do you like the idea of working in different countries as part of your job? What countries do you think are interesting to work in? What do you think is a good time to start and finish work? When do you have free time? What is your idea about working in a team? Your company wants you to work in a different country. Which country would you like to live and work in? Give reasons. What countries do you think have a good quality of life? Give reasons.

What do you do when you want to have ideas?

Is creative thinking important in the business that you work in or in the business that you want to work in? Have you ever brainstormed ideas? Was it useful? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Put the types of transport in the order that you prefer to travel for business / pleasure. Compare your ideas with a partner and give reasons for your choices of favourite and least favourite. I prefer travelling by train because I can sit in a quiet carriage and work on my laptop. What do you like and dislike about travelling for business or pleasure?
