Technique : netting Materials : Czech s eed beads 11/0: black, red, green, gold Length: 43 cm (17) This necklace is done in the netting s titch in traditional Hohloma colours black, red, green and gold. The motifs of Hohlom a painting are both simple and poetic, cons is ting of floral and plain geometrical patterns . Flowers and clus ters of berries interwoven with s weeping grasses and golden tendrils curve gently over the wooden surfaces . Some of these compos itions are res trained, others lavis h; but all reflect the Russ ian people's love of nature and ques t for beauty. Hohlom a derives its bright, fes tive character from a dis tinctive matching of scarlet, black and gold . This dignified and lus trous combination gives the wooden dis hes an aura of great value. To m ake a necklace leave the tail long enough to attach the clasp later and start beading following the black arrow on the diagram below. When you reach the des ired length of the necklace, attach the clas ps on both ends. Please pay attention that in the middle 15 cm (6) of the inner part of the necklace you have to m ake top turns of 3 beads to curve the necklace.

The next s tep will be m aking large fringes. Start beading following the green arrow on the next diagram below.

The next s tep will be m aking small fringes between large fringes . Start beading following the red arrow on the diagram below.
