Cismigiu gardens

Cismigiu park is one of the most beautiful in Bucharest. especially during the spring is full of beautiful flowers and green trees and on the lake you can see and white swans swimming, sight wich ispires you peace and happiness. The park has 170.000 square feet;it is in the middle of the Bucharest and it was designed, more than 150 years ago, by the Austrian architect W. Meyer.

The main attractions are the rose garden, trees and shrubs corner, kids' corner, Eminescu's fountain
Nice gardens, well-maintained, lots of benches, pockets of chess or card players at tables. Fountains, statues, food stands, nice variety of trees/flowers, swans/ducks on the water.

Those gardens inspired a lot of writers, like grigore bajenaru in his famous novel cismigiu si compania.

well worth losing yourself for an afternoon wandering around.
