Dear OLL parishioners and families, Each year, as the school gets underway, many families step forward

to show their support by volunteering in the school, for the parish or for CYO. Safe Environment training is necessary for all individuals who volunteer or work among vulnerable populations. As a way of ensuring the safety of all we serve, Our Lady of the Lake Parish and School requires that potential volunteers do the following: Complete a background check (done by calling the school or parish offices to obtain the necessary forms) Attend the Called to Protect for Ministries Class. Registration for this class can be done by going to this website: http://www.seattle.setanet.org/index.php and click on Register for Classes. OLL Parish and School will offer the Called to Protect for Ministries class, see below for more details. Do not confuse this class with the Called to Protect for Families program. Volunteers must take Called to Protect for Ministries. Successful completion of the background check and Called to Protect for Ministries will allow a potential volunteer to serve our students and parishioners here at OLL. Shortly after attending the Called to Protect for Ministries Class, attendees will receive a certificate of attendance that should be given to Kathy Boyle (kboyle@ollseattle.org) or Darryn Urueta (durueta@ollseattle.org). If you have questions about the Safe Environment Program or trainings, please contact Shawna McMahon, Safe Environment Program Coordinator, at at (206) 274-3188 or email sep@seattlearch.org. Thank you for your support of Our Lady of the Lake Parish. Michael Palmer Parish Administrator Vince McGovern School Principal
