Marvellous Manners!

Child: Lujain Date: 4TH September 2013 Written by: Teacher Natasha Today Lujain you visited your friends in the under two classroom, and while reminiscing about your time in this room you made it very clear to Teacher Bushra you also wanted to sit in a high chair with your friends not the table. You were very lucky and Teacher Bushra lifted you in to the high chair where you sat next to friend Layan. Sitting up high you looked around giggling, and chatting away with Layan. Throughout the morning tea you would both look at each other then look away, giggling hysterically! Layan then started to offer you her food; whenever she passed

you an item you would clearly say THANK YOU!! before giggling together. Your teacher would then get you to pass the food back for Layan to eat, but just as quickly she would pass it back for us all to hear you exclaim THANK YOU! Review of learning This morning Lujain I could see how confident you are in the under two classroom with Teacher Bushra as you expressed yourself verbally with your friend Layan. When saying thank you to Layan you were communicating with clarity and precision in English! Where to next? Lujain you are a very confident, bubbly and social girl. I enjoy hearing you communicate with clarity and precision as you master the English language. We will continue to build on your vocabulary through role modelling language, allowing you to be with mixed aged peers to allow scaffolding, the use of rhymes and nasheeds with actions, engaging you in conversational language daily, labelling your world and feelings and offering a wide variety of resources and experience to allow you to express yourself including art and movement.
