Title Ref Date & Dur. Location Selecting the correct valve for a process function in a may have a critical safety and economic impact on the piping system. Description Valves usually appear to be simple in form and operation, such as those of a manual Off-On Valve, Check Valve, or the Fixed Valve type such as an Orifice, Blind, etc. However, evolving technologies gives a wide spectrum of material and function developments which necessitates the user to have comprehensive understanding of how the valve function and perform to achieve the target results of the process. This course is designed to present the attendants how different types of Valves operate and how they are engineered for various applications. Classification and selection criteria for petroleum industry will be discussed and accessories such as actuators will be presented and how they are made available and selected. Ancillaries such as proportional controllers, solenoids, positioners and indicators will also be presented. Maintenance Engineers, Application Engineers, Inspection Engineers, Elect/Electronics Engineers, Control Systems and Instrumentation Engineers, Production Engineers, Well-Head & Drilling Engineers and the new Valve Designers. It will be of major benefit for those who are new to the field, but it will also serve as a refresher workshop for those who have many years of experience. Maint.
