Stock Market update at the closing session Sept 09, 2011

End Game Summary The Key benchmark indices were in the negative based on negative micro and macro cues and weak share prices globally. The pending RBI policy review next week also had a negative impact on the markets. The market ended below the 17,000 mark following a sudden sell off in intra day trade after opening in the positive following higher Asian stock prices and US index futures. The BFSI sector and IT sector ended on a low based on high interest rates and weak US economic data. Overall, the market breadth was weak.

Stock Wise In the Auto counter, HERO MOTOR CORPORATION and BAJAJ AUTO were up 2.27% and 0.19% respectively. In the Oil and Gas counters, ONGC was up 0.15% respectively. In the Infra counters, RELIANCE INFRA and JPASSOCIATES were down 5.38% and 5.35% respectively. In the BFSI counters, RELIANCE CAPITAL and AXIS BANK were down 5.38% and 4.72 % respectively. NSE Volume The days volumes stood at Rs.12129.28 crores today compared to previous trading sessions volumes of Rs. 1138.75 crores.

Outlook The market will take cues from the global markets and is expected to open on a flat to negative note tomorrow. Trade short in Nifty below 5050 levels targeting 5000 4980 levels with a stop loss placed below 5080 levels. Alternatively, trade long in NIFTY above 5080 levels targeting 5150 levels.
