    Layered Crochet Flower Stella

    Use a B1 hook and Sports weight yarn. Begin with 4 chain and join with a ss. Round 1: 4 chain then into the base ring do [ 1 dc, 1 ch, ] x7 join with a ss into third chain at start of the round. Round 2: Ss into next chain, 6 chain then into each chain space do [1 dc, 3ch ] x7 . Ss into third chain at start of the round. Round 3: [6 chain. Into second chain from hook do 1sc, then carry on down the length of the chain with 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dtr. Then, on the round below, after each three chain space, join with 1 sc into top of the double crochet stitch] x8 BUT on the 8th pointy petal do the final sc into the last chain of the three chain space below.

    TURN the flower over to the wrong side facing. Change colour. Round 4: Wrong side facing. [Do 5 ch, ss into sc stitch of row below, which is in between the pointy petals. Only ss into one loop of the sc, the one at the front (this will become the one at the back when the flower is turned round the right way). 4 chain, ss into same place below.] x8 1 chain. TURN to right side. Cast off yarn and break it. Change colour. Round 5: Join yarn at the start of any five chain space. Into each chain space do [ 1 sc, 2 hdc, 3 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc. 1 chain] x 8 Ss to join into first sc of round. Sew in ends.
