    Local Area I had 19,342 establishments in 2006. A survey was conducted of 733 of these establishments to analyze the industry super sectors and size classes. The response rate was 73.1%. By industry super sector, the highest response rates were for Manufacturing (79.7%) and Information (75.0%), while the lowest was for Construction (65.7%). By size class, very small establishments (1-4 employees) had the highest response rate at 78.3%, while small establishments (5-49 employees) had the lowest at 69.8%. The data comes from the Kansas Department of Labor's second quarter 2007 job vacancy survey.
