foreword

Thanks to the presence of Allah SWT, who upon his mercy, so the writers can complete the preparation of a paper entitled " Observations of Feeding Beef Cattle in Beef Cattle Research Workshop" Writing papers is one of the duties and requirements to complete the task subject of the science of feed stuff and nutrition , Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the Airlangga University. In writing this paper the writers feels there are still many shortcomings both in technical writing and material, in view of the capabilities of the writers. To that criticism and suggestions from all parties are the writers of hope for the sake of improving of making this paper. In writing this paper the writers expressed his gratitude to the countless parties who assist in completing this paper, in particular to: 1. Our all lectures of science of feed stuff and nutrition in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the Airlangga University. 2. M. Luthfi, Spt and Yunia Rachmawati, drh as informant in Grati Beef Cattle research workshop 3. Our all colleagues in the Small Class 2012 4. All parties that cannot be mentioned one by one, which has provided assistance in writing this paper. Finally, the writers hopes may Allah reward in kind to those who have provided assistance, and can make all this aid as worship, Amiin Yaa Robbal 'alamiin.

Writers

1. Ongole filial (pernakan ongole) Ongole filial is one of kinds beef cattle often found in java as livestock. This cattle is crossed between ongole from India and local cattle. The colour is white. Having great hump and dewlap. They have good adaptability to

differences in environmental conditions. Its cow reproductive activity quickly returned to normal and bull have better semen quality. 2. Brahman cross (BX) BX cow (read: Brahman Cross), is the result of Brahman cattle domestication (Indian origin) who developed in the United States and Australia and crossed with livestock from the United States, such as Shorthorn, Santa Gertrudis, Droughmaster, Hereford. The model applied in the implementation of development Brahman Cross cattle are cattle that have produced good growth and resistant to the tropical climate and disease / pest causes of diseases, mites or ticks in Australia. 3. Bali cattle Bali cattle is originaly from Indonesia. Its calf colour is tan that hallmark of bos sondaicus. The color on the cows will survive to adulthood, while the males will turn into black. This catlle is famous in Indonesia because have many advantages. Those are great reproduction, good force, efficient in feed, good quality of carcass, low fat, and also have high adaptability. 4. Madura cattle Madura cattle have similar appreance with bali cattle, but both cow and bull have similar colour until adult. The different significant wheter is a hump, madura cattle have hump, but bali cattle havent.
