Heart attacks occur when the coronary arteries become blocked by plaque over time, this causes the heart to be deprived of oxygen which leads to death of muscle tissue Pain or pressure in the chest Discomfort spreading to the back, jaw, throat, or arm Nausea, indigestion, or heartburn Weakness, anxiety, or shortness of breath EKG-Electrocardiogram Chest X-Ray Stress test Pericardiocentesis CT and MRI scans Cardiac Catherization
