Dear Chairman Obey:

I am requesting funding for the Automatic Vehicle Locating System (AVLS) in

fiscal year 2010. The entity to receive funding is the City of Oakland, California,
located at Frank Ogawa Plaza, 3d Floor, Oakland, CA 94612. The funding will be
will be used to supplement local efforts to purchase and install AVL units within
police vehicles that will link directly to the City's GIS system. I certify that I have
no financial interest in this project.
