I am forwarding a request for funding for Chesapeake Bay Oyster RestoratIOn III
the FY 2010 Commerce, JustIce, Science and Related Agencies AppropnatlOns bill.
These funds will be used to support native oyster restoratIOn III both the Maryland and
Virginia portIOns of the Chesapeake Bay- a key component of the Bay ecosystem,
serving as substrate for underwater fish habitat, pollution filtenng for the Bay, and as one
of the region's most Important fisheries. The entIty to receIve funding for this project IS
the NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office located at 410 Severn A venue, AmJapolis, MD
