I, Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, am requesting funding for the City of Detroit for
FY 2010. The entity to receive funding for this project, entitled the City of Detroit Police
Department Northwestern District-Wide CB Patrol, is located at Suite 1126,2 Woodward
Avenue, Detroit, MI 48226. The Detroit Police Department requests funding to install and
deploy Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) technology in 30 police cruisers. ALPR
will be installed in vehicles assigned to address and reduce crime in the Traffic Enforcement
Unit and the Tactical Mobile Unit. I certify that neither I nor my spouse has any financial
interest in this project.
