TASK:
To
compete
in
a
30
minute
Soccer
Game
AIM:To
Record
Data
(Heart
Rate
&
Work
rate,
Breathing)
in
respect
to
energy
systems
and
the
processes
of
Fatigue
and
Recovery.
METHOD:
- 3
Students
will
be
equipped
with
a
Heart
rate
Monitor.
- 3
students
will
be
allocated
a
subject
each
to
record
the
subjects
resting
heart
rate,
and
at
3
minute
intervals
during
a
soccer
game
and
at
the
end
of
the
warm
down.
The
recorders
will
switch
with
another
3
students
at
half
time
to
have
an
opportunity
to
participate
in
the
soccer
game.
- They
will
undertake
a
5
to
10
minute
warm
up
at
a
sub-maximal
intensity
(75%)
- Students
are
separated
into
2
teams
and
allocated
positions.
- There
will
be
a
strong
emphasis
on
the
comparison
between
the
different
positions
played
(ie
Striker,
midfielder,
goalkeeper
and
defender)
- After
the
match
the
students
will
undertake
5
to
10
minute
warm
down.
