    D ear students The time is November 1755. You are in Lisbon.

    The time has come to pack your bags and start life in a new country. For a reason you will have to find out, you have to leave Lisbon. Choose another country in the world, research information about that country in the mid 1700s and explain the push and pull factors for your move. Prepare your journey: what will you bring? who will go with you? How will you travel? Submit a journal entry of at least 3 different days on your chosen journey, explaining the difficulties, hopes, joys and sharing your feelings and worries. You can add drawings of course. You have been in your new country for 18 months now and the local school would like to interview you as a migrant. Explain how you adapted to you new environment, what problems you encountered and how your life has changed since your move (cultural, language, friends)
