ROLE CARDS

You were born in Bangkok, Thailand in 1978. Your
parents worked for international schools in many
different countries, so all your life you’ve lived abroad.
Some of the countries you’ve lived in are: China,
Indonesia, Vietnam and Australia. You came back to this
country to go to university in 1997 and you’ve lived here
since then. You haven’t been anywhere for a few years
because you travelled so much when you were a child.
When you were a child, your parents took you and your
sister abroad for your holidays every summer. The best
place you visited was the USA because you’ve always
loved American music. When you were 17, you moved
to the USA to study at university, and you’ve lived and
worked there ever since. Some of states you’ve lived in
are New York, California and Texas. You came back to
this country last week, but just to visit your parents.

You are on a long holiday – one year of travelling

You were born in this country and have lived here all
alone around the world. You left your home country
of your early life, but always wanted to experience
six months ago and have been in this country since last
different cultures. In 1999, you got a job with an

moment you’re very happy here.
For the last ten years, you’ve been to a different country
for your holidays: France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Poland,
the Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, and last year
you went to Romania. You’ve always travelled with your
friends because you really don’t live travelling alone.
You’ve never been outside of Europe but would love to
go to Asia. You’ve wanted to go to China since you were
a small child – such an interesting culture!
