QUEST 6

Lets Hit the Road

Math Road Trip
Planning the Ultimate Vacation
In this unit students will be asked to design a vacation for a hypothetical family that lives in another part of the country. They will be given a family profile with important information about the clients. The teams must work to satisfy the clients needs and not their own interests. Students will provide driving directions and an original map to help the clients arrive at their destinations. Students will use actual route numbers, street names, and other geographical features. They will also provide recommendations for hotels, restaurants, and entertainment. Of course, all of these things come at a price so the proposed plan must not exceed the clients budget. Upon completion of the plan, the students will make a presentation of their plan to the clients.
