As I observed that some children are really fascinated with rainbow colours, I decided to do magic drawing with the children. Firstly, the children colour in the entire piece of paper with different coloured crayon. After that, they colour in a layer of black over the different colours. Then, the fun part begins. They were each given a tooth pick to draw on the painting. The children started off with drawing lines all over the paper, fascinated with the different colours changing as they drew across the paper. Zahra and Zoe also discovered that they could colour black over it if they made a mistake and start all over again. Lily H did two magic painting, one with squiggly lines and one treasure map. Zahra said that her treasure map leads to Kinder, because kinder is the TREASURE! Xavier did three magic drawing and by the end of the second one, he was teaching and giving instructions to other children on how to do the magic drawing. Elias joined in later on and also did a magic drawing.

Analysis of Learning: This task has provided children with the opportunity of cultivating the value of perseverance as quite a few steps is involved before the end product. This is an important value to instill as children will need to learn how to persevere when facing difficult situation. With encouragement, children persevered in the process and they gained satisfaction after completing it. This is evident from their smiley faces. What next? Implement learning experiences that promote the value of perseverance
