Q1) How will you fully engage everyone and hold the students interest throughout the

lesson?

Ans. A very crucial aspect of teaching is holding the students interest throughout the lesson.
Children and playing are synonymous with each other; Hence, Playway and Activities are vital
methods in teaching.

Play helps children to improve motor skills and enhances their imagination and creativity. An
activity done in a spirit of fun is not tedious and students not only learn better, but also
retain better.

Famous educators like Maria Montessori, Friedrich Froebel and William Kilpatrick all realized
that it was essential to use play as a means of educating children.

For example, If the teacher is introducing the colour Red, she may sing a rhyme on the colour
Red or will ask the students if they can spot the colour Red anywhere in class. She may also
involve the class in a painting session whilst they sing rhymes. (Red red lets colour red, Here
Red, there Red, everywhere red red)

The teacher's aim whilst teaching is to make the lesson easy and fun; thereby making
retention easy for the students. Another important point is that the teacher must always
begin class with a smile and ask the students to introduce themselves before beginning the
lesson. The positive, kind and friendly vibes from a teacher also create a better classroom
environment, thus helping in increasing the students attentiveness.

The conclusion gathered from the points mentioned above would be that a lesson should
start with an activity to introduce the concept and then encouragement to participate
thereby enhancing memorisation of basic knowledge through repetition and play.

make? What misconceptions are predictable and will need overcoming?
