Aveyond II !an"s #$est is, strange%y eno$gh, the se&$e% to Aveyond I Rhen"s #$est' Three generations a(ter Rhen and her party de(eated the dar) %ord Ahriman, and she begain r$%ing in Thais, *e (o+$s o$r attention on !an, a yo$ng e%( *ho %ives near the O%d*oods ,(ami%iar to Aveyond I (ans-' !an"s best (riend Iya s$dden%y disappears, and his (ami%y and (riends have no re+o%%e+tion o( her e.isten+e' To (ind her, !an m$st %eave his se+%$ded /a%e and 0o$rney to the dangero$s Land o( 1an in sear+h o( Ishtar, the Sno* #$een' When he arrives, he %earns o( the Sno* #$een"s p%ot to ta)e over a%% the )ingdoms and t$rn the *or%d to i+e, and her p%an to ta)e Iya"s magi+a% abi%ities as her o*n by sa+ri(i+ing her at the imminent I+e 2a%%' Iya, $nder the spe%% o( the Sno* #$een and happy to (orget her previo$s (ai%$res, re($ses to be%ieve him' !an rea%ises to save his (riend, he needs to stop the I+e 2a%%, and to *arn a%% the r$%ers abo$t the Sno* #$een"s p%an' 2$t being spared a sa+ri(i+ia% death is not eno$gh to save Iya' Her spirit has been a%most +omp%ete%y drained, and to restore it and %ive, she m$st see) o$t, and re+eive b%essings (rom, the Si. 3ymphs *ho *eave spirit into every %iving being' Th$s !an and Iya embar) on a d$a% mission to obtain the si. b%essings, and to he%p (oi% the Sno* #$een"s evi% p%ans by 0oining the resistan+e movement against her' A%ong the *ay they (orm (riendships and a%%ian+es *ith peop%e *ho are *i%%ing to 0oin and (ight *ith them, and they a%so re+r$it one or t*o not4so4*i%%ing a++omp%i+es' They earn the gratit$de o( many peop%e they meet a%ong the *ay, and get amp%e opport$nity to br$sh $p on their physi+a% and magi+a% batt%e s)i%%s' Aveyond II ,herea(ter re(erred to as Aveyond- has a dar)er, more serio$s theme than its pre&$e%' There are some o++asions *here the p%ayer may +hoose to do things in a di((erent order to that %isted in this *a%)thro$gh, as *e%% as a good n$mber o( side &$ests ,that are mentioned here, b$t not ($%%y e.p%ained- to provide a +han+e (or greater e.p%oration and +ha%%enges, and some am$sement (or the p%ayer' Team dynami+s +an ma)e (or interesting observation, and on+e again, m$%tip%e endings are avai%ab%e (or greater p%ayer satis(a+tion, *hether yo$ have a passion (or advent$re, or yo$r heart yearns (or a more romanti+ (ina%e'
