ACE inhibitors Selectively suppresses renin angiotensinaldosterone system; inhibits ACE; prevents conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II. 25 mg tab tab BID p.o , 9am to 5pm
Hypersensitivity, lactation, heart block, children, potassiumsparing diuretics, bilateral renal artery stenosis.
CNS: dizziness, -Instruct fainting, headache, patient to malaise, fatigue. take drug 1 hour before CV: tachycardia, meals; food in hypotension, the GI tract angina pectoris. may reduce absorption. GI: abdominal pain, anorexia, -Use constipation, cautiously in diarrhea, dry patients with mouth, dysgeusia, impaired nausea, vomiting. renal function or serious HEMATOLOGIC: autoimmune leukopenia, disease, agranulocytosis, especially pancytopenia, systemic anemia, lupus thrombocytopenia. erytheposed to other drugs METABOLIC: known to Hyperkalemia. affect WBC counts or RESPIRATORY: immune dyspnea, dry, response.
persistent, nonproductive cough. SKIN: pruritus, alopecia. OTHERS: fever, angiodema of face and limbs.
-Monitor patients BP and pulse rate frequently. -Elderly patients may be more sensitive to drugs hypotensive effects. -Drug causes the most frequent occurrence of cough, compared with other ACE inhibitors. -Dont confuse captopril with capitrol.
