GUIDELINES Submission deadline: April 30th, 2014; Works written for: a) solo saxophone b) solo piano c) saxophone duo d) chamber duo [saxophone and piano, saxophone and hand percussion, saxophone and narrator] e) chamber duo plus one Regarding categories d (chamber duo) or e (chamber duo plus one) if there is use of text it should be in the public domain, otherwise the composer should be authorized for its utilization; Works from 2 to 12 minutes in duration; All submitted works must be new (limited prior performance) Submissions via email only ; Each submission consists in: a) one to four scores, b) a picture, c) a short biography (200 words max.); The scores must be attached as PDF files; The biography must be pasted as text in the body of the email, together with first name, last name, date of birth and nationality; In the body of the email, please write I will attend the concert if my piece(s) is(are) selected or I will not attend the concert if my piece(s) is(are) selected; Send the submission via email to sottovocesaxduo@gmail.com

Open call for new music scores!
Sotto Voce, a modern chamber duo, is calling for scores to be considered for our 2014 Summer Debut Tour and 2014-2015 regular yearly recital programming. The call is open to composers of any nationality or age. Pieces should be written for solo saxophone, solo piano, saxophone duet (one part may utilize altissimo, both extended techniques), saxophone and piano, saxophone and hand percussion, two saxophones and keyboard, or two saxophones and percussion. (It is possible to find other instruments [i.e. two saxophones and cello or saxophone, voice and piano], but all accompaniment parts should be not to technically difficult. We are not biased to electronic accompaniment as well. This should be made specific when submitting work.)
