Classroom Expectations
For every student to be successful in geometry class, it is important for each student to know what is expected. Be Ready | Be Responsible | Be Ready Stay seated, maintain personal space, dispose of trash/recycling properly. Bring required materials and homework to class each day. Always do your best and actively participate in class. Refrain from negative language, be courteous to everyone.

Grades
Daily Work 20% A Warm-up will be done at the beginning of each class and will be collected at the end of the unit for a grade. Assignments will be given daily to reinforce the ideas that have been taught in class. If this work is not completed during class, students will be required to finish it at home. Assignments may be collected the following day for a grade. Alternative Assessments 30% Quizzes will be given often to assess student understanding. Projects will offer the students opportunities to display their understanding of the material in a nontraditional way. Tests 50% Tests will be given on even numbered days and will be announced well in advance.

Make-Up Work
It is the students responsibility to collect any missed work and reschedule any missed test or quiz. Please keep in mind that an absence before the day of a scheduled quiz or test does not excuse the student from taking it. The student will have a limited amount of time for each day missed to make up missed work.

Redo Policy
General: There is no grade cap for work redone within a reasonable time frame. Work redone in the last week of the six weeks cannot be redone again. I may offer students additional opportunities to redo work to replace failing grades as deemed necessary. Daily Category (Homework and Quizzes): I recommend these be redone within 3 days after posting/acknowledgement of grade. Must be done after school during tutorials or during my conference period under teacher supervision. Arrangements must be made with me prior to redo. Major Grade : (Test or Alt. Assessment): Student should attend tutoring prior to redo. Should be done after school during tutorials or during my conference period. Arrangements must be made with teacher prior to redo/retest.
