I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Robert Grimaldi for the lO-week summer internship program through the Lewis' Educational and Research Collaborative Internship Program. Although I have not yet had the pleasure of having Robert in class, as lead faculty of the Aeronautical Systems Engineering Technology Area of Concentration, of which Robert is part, I have had the opportunity to work with him as he prepares his course work and maps out his plans for future success both here at Kent State and in his chosen career field. In a very short amount of time Robert has proven himself to be extremely motivated and shows a degree of initiative I do not often see in the freshman class. We are in the process of establishing a Student Advisory Committee, and Robert has jumped at the chance to get involved. He would like to focus on the astronautical side of his studies, and has earned a spot on the Dean's List his first
semester.

Having been in a position to interact with Robert, I feel that he has a high level of integrity. He is an overall conscientious and able student and is someone I feel I could rely upon. I believe he has what it takes to make an excellent contribution to the aeronautics industry, and will be an intern upon whom you can freely rely, not only to use the opportunity presented to better himsell but more importantly to give back to those providing him with the opportunity. I enthusiastically recommend Robert for this internship and am confident that you will not be disappointed by his performance.
