Your Local Bordesley Green Policing Team Wants To Meet You

Led by Sgt Helen Bailey (opposite) the Bordesley Green Neighbourhood Team are dedicated to dealing with crime, anti-social behaviour and other long term issues within the ward. The ward is split into four separate beats, each of which has a Police Constable and Police Community Support Officer assigned to it. The map below shows how the ward is divided up. We want to ensure that you are aware of what is going on where you live and provide you with the opportunity to have your say on what issues are affecting you. We will be holding monthly meetings for each beat which will include the opportunity to speak to your local beat officers on a one to one basis.

The venues for the meetings are as follows: Area 1 South & City College Birmingham, Fordrough Lane, B9 5NA (Entrance opposite Asda Bordesley Green) Area 2 Saltley Leisure Centre, Broadway Avenue, B9 5YD Area 3 Somerville Primary School, Somerville Road, B10 9EN Area 4 Khidmat Centre, Heather Road, B10 9TA Whilst the meetings are intended to be beat specific residents are welcome to attend any of the venues. Each month we will also hold a drop-in centre where residents can come and speak to only to the Police but to various other agencies including; West Midlands Fire Service, Birmingham City Council Environmental Health, Fleet & Waste Management, Social Services, Highways, Drug & Alcohol Intervention Agencies, Domestic Violence Agencies, Victim Support, Local Youth Groups and more. Please note that the agencies in attendance may vary but the Police will always be represented. These events will alternate between Blakeland Street Housing Common Room (corner of Blakeland Street and Bordesley Green) and the Khidmat Centre on Heather Road.
