    RECEPTOR CELLS are special cells that can detect stimuli from the environment.

    RC send information to the brain throught the nerves. NERVES are special cables that transmit messages throught the body.
    The optic nerve, which starts in the eyes. The auditory nerve, which starts in the ears. The taste nerve, which starts in the tongue. The olfactory nerve, which starts in the nose. There are many nerves in the skin (heat, cold, pain and preassure).
