Learning outcomes
After completing this module you should: Know the anatomy relevant to intravenous, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intradermal injection techniques Be able to describe the procedure for each injection technique Understand the safety issues relating to giving injections.

Why this module is important


The techniques for safely injecting medicines via the intravenous, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intradermal routes should be learnt and understood by foundation doctors. In this interactive module, these four different injection techniques are practically demonstrated, and the user will gain an understanding of the relevant anatomy and safety considerations relating to each injection technique.
