This month in 3rd grade...

This month in the classroom we will be learning about many new subjects and topics. We will start to read the novel called The Great Gilly Hopkins. It is a fiction novel about a young girl moving from foster home to foster home looking for her true mother. Through her journey she comes to the conclusion that her current foster parents truly love her and her real mother does not. This book is filled with emotion and compassion. In math we will be studying fractions and learning about decimals. In science we start learning about energy, force, and matter. In social studies we will be learning about Columbus journey to America since he discover America in the month of October. I hope to have a fun and successful month :)
