Margaret Armstrong Triangle Classroom Textures Week 10, October 23-25 Infant Activity

This week, I filled a tub with a different textured material every day. On Wednesday, I filled the tub with quilt batting. Sloane (4 months), Tudor (9 months), and Leo (13 months) all sat inside the tub to fully explore the fluffy texture. They demonstrated the Indiana Foundation SC.1.80 Explore objects with various properties (e.g., color, sound, texture, shape) when examining the quilt batting.

Everett (10 months) demonstrated the Indiana Foundation SC.1.34 Manipulate objects when he explored Fridays texture of crinkled paper shreds.

On Thursday, Everett (10 months) and Leo (13 months) picked up the Easter grass, and then watched if fall through their hands. This action portrayed the Indiana Foundation P.3.7 Explore the environment (e.g., banging, shaking, throwing, dropping, climbing).
